I AM pressed down but not crushed
persecuted yet not abandoned
struck down but not destroyed .…..
I flourish like a palm tree
because my roots are deep …. nourished in a soil as such it can’t be uprooted …
I am so connected to the one who the earth is his footstool
I AM A FRIEND OF GODI Am alone yet not lonely
naked yet not ashamed
cause he has his loving arms of mercy and grace all wrapped around me ..
i am alone in his presence
his joy overwhelms me .. i shed tears of joy …flowing like a river down in my soul ..
with no lonely hole ..
cos I AM A FRIEND OF GOD ..seasons come seasons go
friends come friends go ..
yet you are my friend that is attached …. sticks closer than my brother
who without a fickle of doubt .. indeed has been with me in all seasons and the ones to come ..
he promised me .. and has never failed .. he builds my confidence
makes me bold and fierce and fearless
even in my pain and shameful fall.. with no ridicule or regrets or frustration .. you pick me up and clean mehmm.. I AM A FRIEND OF GOD.

no wonder you saw me and called me a royal priesthood
clothed me with the clothe of righteousness
my path thus shines brighter with each new day
placed me in the class of a chosen generation
